Friends,

I am looking forward to worship this weekend. As the numbers improve and Austin/Travis County moves closer to Stage 2 COVID protocols, we have the opportunity to experience some wonderful worship this week.

During Sunday’s service, we will mark Reformation Day – the Sunday that commemorates when Martin Luther nailed his 95 Theses on the church door in Wittenberg, Germany, in 1517, officially challenging the authority of the Roman Catholic Church and launching what became known as the Protestant Reformation. Reformation Day is always one of those days on which we remember that our life of faith and discipleship is always more important than rules and institutions.

We will also mark All Saints Day – the day on which we remember and celebrate the saints of the church – those members of PCLT who dedicated so much time and energy and effort to embodying Christ’s message, and others across the globe who have been shining examples of faith and service.

And, finally, after worship, we will meet in the median in the parking lot to dedicate the fountain placed there by Leslie Wilkinson, in memory of Steve, and by Chrystie Thrasher, in memory of Bruce.

I hope you will join us for worship – either in person at 11:00 a.m. or online at 5:00 p.m!
