Thank you to everyone who participated in our Potluck lunch and conversation to tell The Story of PCLT afterward. The food was delicious and plentiful, the conversation was lively, and the ideas were abundant and intriguing. If you were present, but didn’t complete the survey, here’s your opportunity. Emily would love to include your evaluation; so try to complete it in the next day or two. Here is a link to that form:

If you were not able to join us last Sunday, we would still love to hear your thoughts: What brought you to PCLT? What motivates you to stay engaged with PCLT? What would a thriving PCLT look like to you, five years in the future? Jot down your thoughts, drop them off at church, send them in an email, or call a Session member.

The Session members will be meeting this week to debrief what we heard and determine immediate actions that we can take to implement some of the ideas. As I mentioned during our gathering, Emily will meet with us again on Sunday, Nov. 20, during our regularly stated Session meeting, to share what she has learned about the Story of Lake Travis (demographics of the community around us, and what those might mean for us). Anyone is welcome to join us for that. If you know already you want to attend that meeting, contact me (moderator of Session) or Mary Margaret (Clerk of Session), so we can tell Emily how many people to expect.

What are YOUR next steps? Stay engaged with this process as we build a plan for the mission and ministry of PCLT for the coming year. Begin praying how you can support our congregation’s mission and vision – with your time and energy, with your financial commitment, with your presence and participation. Take time to talk to a Session member, either on a Sunday morning or during the week; ask your questions, offer your ideas, volunteer to help with something specific.

Peace,

Pastor Jack
