The Lord of hosts has sworn: “As I have planned, so shall it be, and as I have purposed, so shall it stand.”
Isaiah 14:24
The property committee is called to be good stewards of PCLT so that it remains a sanctuary, a place of worship and fellowship, a place to do God’s good work.
God has been faithful to us since the very beginning of this church. God gave us what we needed and who we needed to build the family of faith and this building. This is a story of miracles and God’s faithfulness.
After a difficult time in the life of the church, a member saw a brochure on property for sale along the front of Star Hill where we were worshiping. After much discernment we decided to purchase the land. As we planned and designed the building, we wanted to be good stewards of our land and our gift. The church building was built with as much sustainable, green and American made product as we could.
During the design stage we planned to build the shell and finish out as we could. Again, God’s plans were unfolding. With generous giving of money, talents, gifts of all sorts were able to build the entire structure and furnish it. We dreamed of a bell tower and an architect just happen to worship with us and one day and gifted us with the design for it. Others gifted entire rooms, doors, stone walls and each member/friend bought their own chair and/or chairs for others. We moved in on a Saturday and worshiped the next day a sanctuary full of chairs, handmade pulpit furnishings and hymnals.
Knowing God was with us every step of the way and showing us the way, we collected prayers from our members and friends and buried them in the slab to remind us this building was built with God’s faithfulness to us and thanked God on the slab with thanksgiving and praise.
Soon after we moved in, we had a beautiful dedication ceremony in which every member lay hands on each and every part of the building with prayers of thanksgiving and blessings for service.
We give God all the praise and glory for this wonderful gift and we are dedicated to using this wonderful facility to reach out and serve this community. Thanks be to God.
