The wildfires raging on the Hawai’ian island of Maui have now claimed the lives of at least 99 people, making it the deadliest wildfire in the US in at least a century. In addition to the lives lost, homes and neighborhoods and businesses and villages have been destroyed.
Through the Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, our denomination is already working to provide relief to those who have been affected. In the months to come, PDA will be there, providing support and assistance as the people of Maui rebuild their lives and their communities.
If you would like to support this effort financially, you can donate by bringing your gift (check or cash) to church this Sunday, August 20, marking it “For Maui Fire Relief.” Or you can make a contribution securely online through our website, or by using this link.
