Friends,

As we marked the 10th anniversary of our building dedication this past Sunday, we celebrated how much we enjoy our gathering space, and we recalled how so many other organizations generously shared their building space with us for the 13 years before we built PCLT on Hamilton Pool Road. Without the generosity of Bee Cave Elementary, Star Hill Ranch, Lake Travis Event Center, and others, we would have never made it to where we are now!

Now it’s our turn! Our building and campus are part of our mission and ministry in the community. When we share our space with others, we are helping other fledgling organizations launch their own mission, just as others helped us. This summer we will be hosting three summer camps for two such organizations – an art camp for children next week, followed by two children’s drama camps in June and July. For these three weeks, our facility will be filled each day with children discovering their own creativity and unique gifts. How amazing that we can provide space for these children to learn and explore!

Looking ahead, we are in conversation with a local micro-school located in Bee Cave that wants to expand their mission and use our classroom space for upper elementary and middle school age children. If the way be clear, school might be in session at PCLT by mid-August of this year! It will require some flexibility on our part as we learn to share our campus with three dozen children and teachers. Remember when we prayed last November that our church would be filled with children? Be careful what you pray for!

Jesus said, “You are the light of the world. A city built on a hill cannot be hid. No one after lighting a lamp puts it under the bushel basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house.” Thank God we have these opportunities to let our light shine!

Peace,

Pastor Jack
