Holy Week is always a special time in the life of our congregation. For the past two years we have celebrated this Holy time either virtually online or in a very restricted environment. This year we will be able to celebrate with full joy.

The week begins with Palm Sunday, April 10, at 11:00 a.m. We will wave palms and place them in front of the Communion Table. We will sing together and hear scripture and reflections. We will pray together and we will have Communion together. (Look for more information later this week about Communion!) We will also have special guest performers sharing music with us – Valdone Arffa will be at the piano, and soprano, Anitra Coulter-Blunt, will be sharing her voice with us (Check out our Facebook page for more information about her). Our PCLT choir will also perform, as will our Music Director, Austin Bradley. It will be a joyous morning!

Our Maundy Thursday service will be on April 14 at 4:30 p.m. This will be a contemplative service which will include Communion. We will read the story of Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane and reflect on “The God Who Prays.”

On Good Friday, April 15, at 7:30 p.m., we will join with two other congregations – Lake Travis United Methodist Church and The Lakeway Church. This service will have a combined choir from all three congregations, accompanied by an orchestra. Lakeway Church will host this service.

On Easter Sunday, April 17, at 11:00 a.m., we will gather again in our sanctuary. We will flower the Cross. We will sing. We will celebrate. We will shout for joy. After two years of restricted celebrations of Easter, let’s all be there, pull out all the stops, wear our brightest colors, invite your friends and family, and be joyful!
