Friends,
During the Sundays in Lent, I am reflecting on the Psalms, the poetry of faith. This coming Sunday, my reflection will be titled, “The God Who Leads.”
We will hear part of Psalm 63, which begins like this:
O God, you are my God, I seek you,
my soul thirsts for you;
my flesh faints for you,
as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.
We all know this feeling at times – weariness of the soul and body. It is in these moments that we look to God to fill us up and quench our deep thirst. The woman at the well said to Jesus, “Give me this water, so that I may not be thirsty.” The psalmist in Psalm 23 says that God leads us to still water and restores our soul. But to be led, we have to be willing to follow.
Come explore and reflect with me this Sunday on the ways in which we experience God leading us and refreshing us.
Peace,
Pastor Jack
