Friends,
It’s hard to believe that Christmas is less than ten days away! At my house we just finished putting up decorations on Monday, and I still have shopping and mailing to do. When I was a child, the days between Thanksgiving and Christmas used to seem unending. How can the season be moving so quickly?
We have several more opportunities to celebrate the season in worship.
This Sunday, December 19, at 11:00 a.m. will be our Fourth Sunday of Advent celebration. I promise, this time we will hear about Mary and Elizabeth and babies and joy.
On Friday, December 24, at 5:00 p.m., we will gather for our Christmas Eve Service of Lessons and Carols and Candle lighting. We will sing carols and hear special music and recite the Christmas story from scripture.
On Sunday, December 26, at 11:00 a.m., we will meet again for worship to celebrate the miracle of Hope Incarnate, God with us!
I hope you will plan to join us in-person in the sanctuary (while we still can gather!) if you are able. If you choose to join us online for worship, please know that you are welcome and loved and valued as part of our gathered community of joy!
Peace,
Pastor Jack
