Dear PCLT Members and Friends,

What a wonderful celebration we had this past Sunday, November 3rd. We began our worship by gathering outdoors on the Labyrinth, dedicating to the glory of God the gift of “Jackie’s Garden – For Peace and Prayer,” given in memory of Jackie Wright, by her husband Bill. Then we processed down the pathway, calling out and praying for the people whose names are engraved there. Then, after worship, we gathered in the Fellowship Hall and celebrated the anniversary of the chartering of this congregation. Many friends and relatives joined us for the festivities. What a day of thanksgiving it was!

So many people gifted us with this faith community – people who saw a vision for a church like ours in this greater community on the south shore of Lake Travis, people who left established churches to begin something new and needed, people who took time away from their families and their careers to establish the Presbyterian Church of Lake Travis.

Remember that we have more celebrations coming up this month. On Sunday, November 17th, we will dedicate our 2020 Pledge Commitments during worship. After the service, the Annual Boots Hahs Alternative Gift Market will take place from noon until 3 p.m. This will be an opportunity for you to purchase gifts of service and assistance to those in need, in honor of your loved ones. You will receive gift acknowledgement cards to give during the holiday season, so your loved ones will know you have given in their name to an important cause.

This is an exciting time to be the People of God here at PCLT!

Peace and Grace,

Rev. Jack Barden
