Stop. Take a deep breath. Fill up your lungs, your body, with oxygen. Relax your shoulders and the muscles that are clenching together. Feel God’s peace with each breath – feel God’s presence and peace within each inhale and within each exhale.
It is the second week of Advent, the week of peace. I found peace in this song this week:
“And in despair I bowed my head
There is no peace on earth I said,
For hate is strong and mocks the song
Of peace on earth, good will to men.
Then pealed the bells more loud and deep
God is not dead, nor doth he sleeps
The wrong shall fail, the right prevail
With peace on earth goodwill to men.”
Where do you need peace this week?
How will you share peace this week… with your neighbors, in your community?
May the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus this week and always.
